Maintenance Technician

Position Summary:

You will ensure the facility’s cosmetic appeal matches our upscale brand. This entails organizing, cleaning, and maintaining a design and manufacturing facility such that it represents an outstanding work environment for your teammates, and properly symbolizes the excellence of our work. You will also support the facilities staff by ensuring a safe workplace, and participating in a variety of facility improvements and maintenance.

Desired Outcomes:

  • An uncluttered facility environment that teammates are proud to work in
  • A clean facility providing teammates a sense of security related to safe and sanitary conditions
  • A visually appealing and properly organized work environment complying with 6S principles
  • Creation and execution of a plan that addresses longer-term, semi-regular maintenance requirements
  • Occasional but regular facility improvements executed in accordance with facility plans

Required qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of facility competencies, such as electrical wiring, plumbing, changing lights and organizing pallet racks
  • Proficiency in basic custodial competencies, such as floor, cubicle, and bathroom sanitation
  • Minimum 2 years janitorial experience, including planning of recurring activities
  • Ability to implement a methodical approach to facility maintenance
  • Ability to operate or a willingness to learn forklift operation
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft desktop applications)
