Founded in 2002, Rosen designs and manufactures a variety of products used in the cabins of business and commercial jets.  Headquartered in beautiful Eugene, Oregon, we serve such recognizable industry titans as Gulfstream, Textron, Dassault, Embraer, and Bombardier.

Position Summary:

Develops the cabin system software requirement specifications for a new aircraft and provides technical direction for overall software system architecture and the associated research projects which will be adapted into future products.

Desired Results:

  • Defines software architecture and human interface for an advanced cabin management system
  • Develops roadmaps to evolve and update software for future intelligence and machine learning capabilities
  • Drives collaboration among team members and sub-tier suppliers in working towards a shared vision
  • Translates system functionality into specific software requirements
  • Creates storyboards of all the use case scenarios
  • Creates system block diagrams and functional block diagrams
  • Works with hardware engineers to ensure hardware/software compatibility

Minimum Qualifications and Critical Skills:

  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of human machine interface (HMI) software experience
  • Intimate knowledge of smart home, IoT, and/or automotive systems
  • Knowledge of PED interaction within home and/or automotive systems
  • App development experience
  • Knowledge of iOS, Linux, and Android architectures
  • Engaged, inspired and effective communicator
  • Expertise in UX and UI development

Position Summary:

Responsible for leadership, direction, coordination, implementation, and execution of a cabin management system for a new aircraft platform.  In this capacity you will be accountable for financial performance, compliance to customer vision & associated requirements, and timeline achievement.  You will lead a team of assigned project personnel internal to the company, and a group of external consortium partners working collectively to develop a cabin management system and its associated peripheral devices.

Desired Results:

  • Lead the program in a manner aligned with the consortium’s vision, strategic objectives, and consistent with the needs of all consortium stakeholders
  • Create an environment of collaboration and productive transparency with team members, while respecting their confidentiality requirements
  • Develop and foster a community vision among stakeholders, establishing a common understanding of what success looks like
  • Facilitate expedient decision-making and team execution consistent with timelines
  • Identify member strengths and deficits, and coordinate intra-group mentoring programs
  • Assist in developing a viable commercial arrangement that requires member investment, but provides for incentive and protects financial independence

 

Desired Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of relevant professional experience. PMP or other project management certification desired
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of systems and product development processes
  • Extensive experience with budget, ROI, product financial margins and scope creep
  • Experience with large and complex programs
  • Capacity to thrive in a technical environment
  • Strong leadership and experience in a self-directed work environment
  • Aviation experience not required
