Position Summary:

Responsible for leadership, direction, coordination, implementation, and execution of a cabin management system for a new aircraft platform.  In this capacity you will be accountable for financial performance, compliance to customer vision & associated requirements, and timeline achievement.  You will lead a team of assigned project personnel internal to the company, and a group of external consortium partners working collectively to develop a cabin management system and its associated peripheral devices.

Desired Results:

  • Lead the program in a manner aligned with the consortium’s vision, strategic objectives, and consistent with the needs of all consortium stakeholders
  • Create an environment of collaboration and productive transparency with team members, while respecting their confidentiality requirements
  • Develop and foster a community vision among stakeholders, establishing a common understanding of what success looks like
  • Facilitate expedient decision-making and team execution consistent with timelines
  • Identify member strengths and deficits, and coordinate intra-group mentoring programs
  • Assist in developing a viable commercial arrangement that requires member investment, but provides for incentive and protects financial independence

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of relevant professional experience. PMP or other project management certification desired
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of systems and product development processes
  • Extensive experience with budget, ROI, product financial margins and scope creep
  • Experience with large and complex programs
  • Capacity to thrive in a technical environment
  • Strong leadership and experience in a self-directed work environment
  • Aviation experience not required

Position Summary:

Provides CNC programming and manufacturing expertise to support product design and realization.  Writes and optimizes CNC programs to create complex parts on multi-axis machines.

Desired Results:

  • Utilizing 3D Solid Models from engineering, creates programs for CNC machines to produce parts for prototype and production as required.
  • Monitors and adjusts CNC operations to ensure all parts produced are dimensionally correct.
  • Creates setup and tooling packages for new production parts.
  • Ensures design-for-manufacturability by critiquing prototype part drawings and machining events and developing user-friendly setup and machining processes.
  • Supports all machinists with troubleshooting machine or process problems, tool selection, fixture issues, etc.
  • Operates CNC or manual machines to produce parts meeting all drawing requirements.
  • Monitor CNC parameters to ensure all parts produced are dimensionally correct.
  • Maintain and clean CNC and manual machines, including under and inside machines.

Desired Qualifications:

  • High school diploma
  • Associate’s degree strongly preferred
  • 2-4 years’ experience writing CNC programs in a machining environment
  • 7 years CNC machinist experience and 3 years of set up experience
  • Experience using Solidworks or equivalent 3D CAD program
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints
  • Knowledge of proper use of hand tools, micrometers, calipers, gauges and indicators
  • Thorough understanding of engineering drawings and 3D CAD models
  • Ability to read and understand common CNC programming languages
  • Ability to perform setups on CNC machines, lathes, and/or mills including selection of tooling and fixtures

Physical, Ergonomic and Environmental Considerations

  • Primarily works in a factory environment with constant exposure to noise, chemicals and machinery
  • Constantly operates and positions self to maintain and clean CNC and manual machines, including under and inside the machines
  • Frequently operates a computer and other office productivity machinery
  • Occasionally exposed to hazardous chemicals
  • Frequently moves materials and parts weighing up to 75 pounds across machine shop floor
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time

Position Summary:

Develops the cabin system software requirement specifications for a new aircraft and provides technical direction for overall software system architecture and the associated research projects which will be adapted into future products.

  • Minimum of 5 years of human machine interface (HMI) software experience
  • Intimate knowledge of smart home, IoT, and/or automotive systems
  • Knowledge of PED interaction within home and/or automotive systems
  • App development experience
  • Knowledge of iOS, Linux, and Android architectures
  • Engaged, inspired and effective communicator
  • Expertise in UX and UI development

In this capacity you will be accountable for supporting the Sr. System Architect Engineer to comply with customer requirements, deliverables, and timeline achievement.  You will work and support a team of assigned project personnel internal to the company, and a group of external partners/suppliers working collectively to develop aircraft cabin systems and its associated peripheral devices.

Desired Results:

  • Lead product development team’s execution in accordance with established requirements, timeline, budget, and risk mitigation
  • Create product development plans aligned with contractual agreements
  • Provide direction and support to project team
  • Lead product development team meetings to prepare and execute project timelines and activities
  • Create and maintain program plans (project charter, budget, schedule, margin analysis, risks, ROI, critical path, etc)
  • Lead conference calls with external customers
  • Facilitate Design Reviews

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of relevant professional experience. PMP or other project management certification desired
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of product development processes
  • Experience with budget, ROI, product financial margins and scope creep
  • Experience with large and complex programs
